BREATHWORK & MOVEMENT
Breathwork and controlled movement are powerful practices that play a significant role in holistic healing, Reiki, and meditation. These techniques focus on the conscious control of breath and deliberate physical movements to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

This is not offered as a separate package but it is included in the Reiki Session.

What is Breathwork?

Breathwork refers to various breathing exercises that involve intentionally changing your breathing pattern. This practice has roots in ancient traditions such as yoga, Ayurveda, and traditional Chinese medicine. Breathwork techniques can range from deep abdominal breathing to more complex patterns like alternate nostril breathing and holotropic breathwork.

What is Controlled Movement?

Controlled movement involves deliberate, mindful physical exercises that are often slow and precise. Practices like Tai Chi, Qigong, and certain forms of yoga are examples of controlled movement. These exercises focus on the flow of energy (Qi or Prana) through the body, promoting balance, flexibility, and strength.

Breathwork and Controlled Movement in Reiki

In Reiki, breathwork is used to enhance the flow of universal life force energy. I like to use this with my clients to deepen relaxation and open themselves to the healing energy of Reiki.
Controlled movements, such as gentle stretches, can also help prepare the body to receive Reiki energy more effectively.
Breathwork is a fundamental component of meditation. Techniques like deep abdominal breathing and alternate nostril breathing help to calm the mind and prepare it for deeper states of meditation. Controlled movements, such as those in Tai Chi or Qigong, can be meditative in themselves, promoting mindfulness and a deeper connection to the present moment.
All in all breathwork and controlled movement are transformative practices that offer profound benefits for holistic healing, Reiki, and meditation.
